Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses OSC, with or without an account. Violations may result in content removal, rate limiting, or suspension or termination of access.

• Knowingly false, fabricated, or misleading catalog data.
• Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights, or that you lack the right to dedicate under CC0.
• Unlawful content of any kind — including child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, and content that promotes terrorism or violence. Such material is reported to the appropriate authorities (including NCMEC where applicable) and preserved as required by law.
• Malware, steganographic payloads, or anything designed to harm users or systems.
• Personal data of others, identity documents, or material that doxxes or harasses.
• Spam, advertising, or off-topic promotional content.

• No harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse of other contributors or Stewards.
• No coordinated manipulation of records, votes, or verification (including sockpuppets or vote brigading).
• No impersonation of others, OSC, or its Stewards.

• Access catalog data programmatically through the published API, not by scraping the website.
• Do not exceed or attempt to bypass rate limits, or share or pool API keys to do so.
• Do not probe, scan, or test the security of OSC without prior written permission, and do not attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
• Do not use OSC’s image storage as general-purpose file hosting.

Authority to assign OSIDs rests exclusively with OSC. You may freely reference and resolve OSIDs, but you may not mint, forge, or misrepresent identifiers as official.

Report abuse to abuse@openstampcommons.org. We enforce this policy proportionately — from removing content to terminating accounts — and we maintain a repeat-infringer policy. Security issues may be reported to security@openstampcommons.org.
