Cookie Policy
OSC uses only a handful of strictly necessary cookies. No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no consent banner needed.
OSC is pre-launch. This document is in force for current use of the service and is being finalized with licensed counsel before paid subscriptions open. If anything here is unclear, write to legal@openstampcommons.org.
1.Our approach
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. OSC uses only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why you won’t see a cookie consent banner. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
2.Cookies we use
- Authentication / session — set by our auth provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in across pages. Strictly necessary; expires on sign-out or when the session ends.
- CSRF / security token — protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary; session-scoped.
- Theme preference — remembers your light/dark choice. Stored in your browser’s local storage (not a tracking cookie) and never leaves your device.
3.Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures aggregate traffic without cookies and without tracking or fingerprinting individuals across sites. No personal profile is built from your visit.
4.What we don’t use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party cross-site tracking or social-media pixels.
- No selling or sharing of browsing data — ever.
5.Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking the authentication cookie will prevent you from signing in, but you can still browse the entire catalog anonymously. Questions: privacy@openstampcommons.org.
