Before any feature goes behind Collector, we ask one question: could a determined free user reach the same result with more effort? If yes, it's a fair convenience to charge for. If no — if paying is the only way to the underlying data — it violates the mission and we don't build it.
Developer and institutional access.
High-volume API access, bulk lookup, and data partnerships — for developers, auction houses, dealers, and institutions — are arranged directly rather than sold from a checkout page. Tell us what you are building and we will find the right arrangement.
Contributors who supply data — auction houses sharing realized prices, for instance — receive access in exchange. The catalog itself stays free and CC0 for everyone, always.
